Education

We believe in a pro-active approach ‘getting the message’ out to as many people in the County about their individual responsibility to recycle.

We welcome visits to our Materials Recycling Facility based at Nantycaws, Carmarthen from local schools, groups and organisations. We are able to explain and show the old and young alike how the recycling chain works and to educate them in how their contribution can and does make a difference.

We’re also able to arrange controlled site visits to other facilities for groups.

School Visits

We currently operate a recycling collection to all of the schools within Carmarthenshire. Children are actively encouraged to act responsibly with their waste and to recycle, recover and reuse as much as possible. We recognize that educating and involving children about the importance of looking after the world in which we all live today will lead to their sustainable future.

Any schools interested in organizing a visit to our facilities should in the first instance contact Carmarthenshire County Council who will explain health, safety and welfare arrangements.
