Stuart was appointed Chairman in 2004 after serving several years as a non-executive director. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he qualified with KPMG and became a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
His subsequent business and commercial career has been with Welsh companies and organisations. Appointments include deputy managing director of a private group of companies trading world-wide in solid fuel, finance director in a large legal firm and with a mental health charity which he helped to expand from a small local base to encompassing services throughout all Wales. He is a Justice of the Peace.

Dudley Thomas FCA

Dudley Thomas has been a Director of the company since its inception in 1997. As a Chartered Accountant he has had over 45years experience in finance, both in the profession and as Company Secretary of the largest tyre distributor in Wales for ten years until 1984 when he joined a large professional accountancy practice in Carmarthen where he is now Senior Partner.
During his time with CWM he has also developed a great interest and knowledge of re cycling ,which plays a very important part in the company's strategy, in addition to the everyday lives of the nation as a whole.

John was appointed as the Managing Director of the Company in October 2006 after a short period of secondment from Carmarthenshire County Council.
John by profession is a chartered civil engineer and has held several directorships in public service over the last 20 years. During this time he has gained a wealth of experience in managing organisational change and the waste industry. He holds several positions representing the waste industry's interest at National level.
In his own time he is a keen follower of local cricket and rugby.

David was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in 1997 and as an Executive Director in 2000. He has previous experience in construction and project management. David is one of CWM’s nominated directors on the Board of Carmarthenshire Environmental Resources Trust which specialize in green and kitchen waste composting.
He is responsible for the operational activities of the company including landfill, composting, Household Waste Recycling Centre’s and Recycling.

Kath Ogden Bsc ACA

Kath joined the company in September 2006 and was appointed as Finance Director in 2007. She now heads up the finance and administration team.
Kath trained as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Coopers & Lybrand) in Swansea. During her time there and in subsequent positions, she gained a vast amount of experience in the accounting and finance issues facing small and medium sized businesses.

Bob Conyard NCA
Operations Manager – Household Waste Recycling Centre’s, Transfer Stations and Materials Recycling Facility

Bob joined CWM in 1998 and became a Senior Manager in 2005 having gained much ‘hands on’ experience at all of the company’s facilities. Throughout his career Bob spent many years involved with agriculture and then running his own contract cleaning business.
Bobs main areas of responsibility are to oversee the day to day operations of all Household Waste Recycling Centre’s, the Materials Recovery Facility along with Transfer Stations ensuring complete legislative and regulatory compliance. Bob is also involved in educational visits, where he enthusiastically explains to children and adults the importance of recycling, providing tours around our MRF. Since joining the company Bob has gained a full Certificate of Technical Competence which is the benchmark of the waste / recycling industry.

Gareth Jones BSc., C. Eng, C.MICE

Gareth joined CWM in 2003 following a career in local government and private consultancy. A member of the Senior Management team he project manages the technical aspects of the forward works programme planning and co-coordinating the associated internal and external design and regulatory submission functions.

Having graduated with BSc (hons) Degree in Logistics and Transport Management, Sean has gained over ten years’ experience in Logistics Operations and Health & Safety Management, working predominantly in Logistics, Distribution and Waste Management industries. Operations Management and Health & Safety Management has always been the main focus, whilst continuing his professional development.
At CWM Environmental, Sean’s role involves all aspects of Health & Safety related to existing and future Company Operations. In addition, he is responsible for the implementation and management of the Company ISO14001 Environmental Management System.

Tina Conyard MBA

Tina joined CWM in 1997 and became part of Senior Management in 2000. She accumulated a wealth of experience in all aspects of business administration and human resource prior to relocating to Wales in 1997 having run a successful business in Kent for 18 years, her experienced has continued throughout her time with CWM.
Tina is responsible for managing and developing the company’s administration and information systems along with the day to day running of the Company’s personnel and training (non H&S) requirements, she is a Licentiate Member of CIPD. Since joining the company Tina has gained a full Certificate of Technical Competence which is the benchmark of the waste / recycling industry.

Wynn Morgan BSc.

Wynn has over 15 years experience of working in the energy / environmental sector. Wynn joined the company as Landfill Manager in 2005 is now responsible for the land filling and composting businesses within the company. He has expertise in waste disposal operations, environmental legislation, compliance, management systems and commercial negotiations / contracts.
